Adel Shafik
Professor, Graphic Design
& Studio Arts
Adel received his BFA in Cinematography and Telecommunications at the College of Applied Arts, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. In 1986 he completed an MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington in Graphic Design. He has been working in the field of design for over 30 years.

Tina Howland
Assistant Professor,
Graphic Design
After graduating with a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design with a Major in Illustration, Tina worked at various LA-based agencies and eventually opened her own studio. Today she continues to work on entertainment and small business client projects in addition to teaching at Bakersfield College.

Glenn Hammett
Adjunct Professor,
Graphic Design
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Glenn returned to Bakersfield and worked at a local advertising agency and did freelance work. In his 31-year career as ad graphics supervisor, marketing coordinator, design editor and art director, his work included ad campaigns, newspaper redesigns, info-graphics, websites, magazines, and corporate branding.

Jeffrey Huston
Jeffrey teaches Animation and Video Production in the Media Arts program at Bakersfield College. He received his BA from Azusa Pacific University and his MFA from Vermont College of Fine Art.

Kristopher Stallworth
Professor, Photography & Art
Kristopher received his BA from Southern Illinois University and his MFA from The University of Memphis. The Photography program he runs at Bakersfield College encompasses both traditional and digital photography.
